Question of the Day - #81Say “slip sheet” 10 times real fast

2015 MN Rules 1322.0402, subpart 2, R402.1.1.2 and R402.1.1.3, provide prescriptive requirements for “exterior draining foundation insulation requirements” and “exterior nondraining foundation insulation requirements”. There don’t appear to be definitions of these foundation types other than in the rule itself it says one “permits water drainage” and the other “does not”. There are no references to other code sections. Does anyone know what the difference is between these two designs? The rules do require that a nondraining foundation have a 6 mil “slip sheet”. Does anyone know what a “slip sheet” is? It isn’t defined. Anyone?
