How come you never hear anything about the 10th reindeer “Olive”?

Olive bulked up using various steroids and now works part time for Budweiser filling in for ailing Clydesdales. Enjoy the Holiday season!!!!!

Olive was pressed into helping cook the Christmas meal.

OK - we have Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Donner, Blitzen, Cupid and Comet. That makes eight. Then there is Rudolph. Total of nine, right? But there is one more mentioned that everyone over looks. Olive is identified in the "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer" song.

Actually, Olive is left out of most references as she was quite mean. She used to call poor Rudolph names and then laugh about it. She is most commonly refered to as "the other reindeer". Olive was eventually sold and made into sausage, which turned out to be very tough.

Here are the words to the song, maybe you will remember Olive:

You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen.
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows

Olive (the other reindeer) (NUMBER TEN!)
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Play in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then all the reindeer loved him
And they shouted out with glee
"Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
You'll go down in history!"
